On the one-year anniversary of the 3/11 Northeastern Japan disasters, we convene a conference of over twenty diverse experts to address the many issues raised by the events, their aftermath, as well as the surrounding histories. The overall focus of this conference and the Meridian 180 online forums will be the question of how to bring closure to such crises. This question will be explored in terms of economics, business, law, disaster response, social activism, and history.
