Comparative Law in the Globalized World: Transmigration and Innovation

Beijing, China (June 14-15, 2013)

Members of Meridian 180 participated in this two-day international conference in Tsinghua University Law School in Beijing, China. The conference was organized by Xingzhong Yu (Professor at Cornell Law School and Meridian 180 Core Idea Group). More than 80 people attended.

Established and young scholars from Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macao, the Philippines, Taiwan and the United States participated in the conference. Conference presenters participated in panel discussions on topics as diverse ad discourse and translation, intellectual property rights, corporate governance, constitutionalism and human rights, legal transplant and modernization of law, globalization of law and new approaches to comparative studies.
