New Directions in Private International Law

Ithaca, NY (March 14, 2014)

On March 14th, 2014, four international law experts and Meridian 180 members, Hisashi Harata (University of Tokyo); Karen Knop (University of Toronto); Ralf Michaels (Duke); and Annelise Riles (Cornell), gathered at Cornell Law School to share and discuss new theories on the development and potential of private international law (PIL).  The discussion was held in an intimate roundtable style, allowing a handful of Cornell students and faculty members, including notable Civil Procedure professor Kevin Clermont, as well as Japanese, Korean and Chinese Meridian 180 Fellows, to participate in the discussion.
